I wanted to share something that I read on Perez Hilton and saw on Ellen DeGeneres. It's similar to the other YouTube sensation posts that have been discussed this weekend. I'm sure that a lot of you have already seen it, but a man named Jorge and his daughter Alexa did a rendition of the song "Home" and nearly 4 million people have viewed it on YouTube. Jorge is a single father who is trying to get his college degree. But, the college degree may be put on hold, as he's becoming one of the most well-known YouTube sensations of the year. This past week, he was on Ellen DeGeneres singing for fans with his daughter. I'd suggest watching their clip from Ellen (linked above). DeGeneres surprises young Alexa with a Barbie car and her face lights up. You can tell from watching the interaction between Jorge and his daughter Alexa, that he loves his kids so much. I love stories about struggling people making it big. It's amazing to me how much power YouTube can have over people's careers. The video was made for fun; Jorge never dreamed that he would become such an Internet sensation.
Just a heart-warming story to end the weekend with!
